Ware County High School
Ware County High School educates over 1400 students in grades 9-12. In addition to offering Advanced Content and Gifted academic courses, WCHS gives students the opportunity to explore possible career fields through CTAE classes. These courses include Business and Technology, Marketing, Engineering, Agriculture, Healthcare, Culinary Arts, etc. These include CTSO programs such as FFA, FBLA, DECA, SkillsUSA, HOSA, FCCLA, and TSA; these programs are crucial in further developing a strong workforce for Ware County. Furthermore, the Work-Based Program allows students to gain on-site work experience in the community in addition to being immersed in a prime education.
WCHS also presents a plethora of rigorous courses for high-achieving students, including Advanced Placement classes and Dual Enrollment opportunities. With Coastal Pines Technical College and South Georgia State College working alongside the high school, students are able to earn their two-year degrees during their high school careers.

Coastal Pines Technical College
Coastal Pines Technical College provides over 130 programs, with some being online courses and others in a traditional classroom setting. The Waycross location includes a myriad of courses, including Forestry Technology, Education, Welding and Joining Technology, among others. This technical education is available to individuals from high school to adults looking to earn certifications.

South Georgia State College
South Georgia State College is a member of the University System of Georgia with locations in Waycross, Douglas, and Entry Program sites at Georgia Southwestern State University and Valdosta State University. The college offers both associate degree pathways for transfer and baccalaureate degree programs of study. Students may choose to live on SGSC’s Douglas Campus in modern residence halls or plan their schedules around family and work by utilizing SGSC’s Waycross Campus. High school students take advantage of dual enrollment opportunities, and the college’s online course offerings continue to expand. The college is a member of the NJCAA and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association with athletics teams in baseball, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s soccer, women’s softball, and men’s and women’s swimming. The college has a $71 million economic impact on its region and partners with economic development officials to strengthen the quality of life in the communities it serves.
