Digital flyer detailing the race and other events for May 17th and 18th

The Waycross Motor Speedway will host a memorial event on Friday, May 17th and Saturday, May 18th in honor of Davy Dawson Woodard, a Waycross resident, successful local businessman, and local racing enthusiast who passed away in January of 2021. Mr. Woodard's company "Woodard Pools" still sponsors many of the cars you see racing to this day, and thanks to that, along with his legacy of support and involvement in every level of racing, Davy Woodard will be remembered fondly forever in the racing community.

The event kicks off on Friday, May 18th when the gates open at 3:00 P.M. and will feature a race, a "super late model" feature that boasts a $3,000 prize, and an "Enduro" feature with a $600 prize for its respective winners.

The race will begin at 8:00 PM, ticket prices are $40 for the pits, and $15 for the stands, while kids 12 and under get in for free.

Waycross Motor Speedway, in partnership with the Waycross-Ware County Development Authority will be honoring local businesses and industry during the event on Friday, grilling food for employees of local industries that have registered for the event and recognizing the influence of local businesses and industrial players.

The fun will continue on Saturday, with gates opening at 3:00 P.M. once again, with the rest of the day following Friday's schedule. However, this time, the "super late model" feature will carry an impressive $10,000 prize for its winner.

Pit ticket prices will remain at $40, while stand ticket prices will be $25 on Saturday, kids 12 and under will still be admitted free of charge.

For the entirety of the weekend event, there are trackside parking spots available for $25/spot, and camping spots available for $50/spot.
