Who will represent Team South Georgia?

05/29/2020

For the third year, South Georgia Business + Culture Magazine will recognize community champions for their innovative spirit and ability to obtain positive results.

Team South Georgia 2020 will represent people of all ages and varying levels of professional experience dedicated to making their communities a better place to live and work.

Consider nominating an individual who worked on your 2020 Census local count committee, helped feed children during the COVID-19 pandemic or volunteered to assist the most vulnerable in your community.

Think about an educator that went above and beyond to help students achieve their highest potential. Maybe your community champion is a business leader or economic development professional that has led a diligent effort to grow more jobs and recruit more industries to South Georgia.

A community champion could be a small business owner that stepped up during the COVID-19 crisis and provided services or products to help frontline workers. Your community champion could be a civic leader dedicated to enhancing the quality of life or working to promote downtown revitalization or a cultural awakening through art programs.

Nominees must live and work in South Georgia and have demonstrated success in improving the quality of life or advancing economic prosperity within their community.

The deadline for submission is June 12. Members of Team South Georgia 2020 will be highlighted in the fall issue of South Georgia Business + Culture Magazine.
